He holds a degree in Dentistry from São Paulo State University UNESP (1968) and a PhD in Dentistry (Integrated Clinic) from the University of São Paulo USP (1970). He is currently a Full Professor at UNESP, Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Dental Materials and Prosthesis. He works as a Permanent Lecturer in the Graduate Program Applied Oral Health Sciences (PPG-CASB, UNESP/ICT, São José dos Campos), being responsible for the Prosthesis specialty.He has been strongly engaged in research with the collaboration of Brazilian and foreign researchers, promoting interaction and internationalization of science in the PPG-CASB, with several articles published in cooperation. He leads the dental materials research laboratory of PPG-CASB/UNESP, securing over the years significant financial resources to improve the laboratory.In the last 10 years (2014), we have published ~266 scientific articles, with broad involvement of masters students, doctoral students, and Brazilian and foreign researchers.
