Dr. Viotti earned her Doctorate (2017) and Master's in History and Social Culture (2012) from São Paulo State University (UNESP), where she also completed her Bachelor's and Teaching Degree in History (2008). She pursued post-doctoral internships at the Graduate Program in History of Sciences and Health at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ) and at the Alexandre Koyré Center of the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). She was welcomed as a Junior Visiting Researcher Abroad (CAPES-PrInt) by the University of Lisbon. Dr. Viotti is a professor in the Department of Political and Economic Sciences (DCPE) at UNESP/Marília and in the Graduate Program in History at UNESP. She serves as a Correspondent Researcher at the Center for History (CH) of the University of Lisbon, the Center for Global Studies (Open University - Lisbon), and the Ibero-American Network of Research on Cultural Heritage and History of Health and Assistance: study, dissemination, and valorization (based at the University of Lisbon). Her work 'Pano, pau e pão. Escravos no Brasil colônia" was awarded in the "Social Sciences" category by the Brazilian Association of University Presses (ABEU, 2020). Dr. Viotti was also honored with the 'Prix international d'encouragement aux études postdoctorales "etudes globales" (EHESS, European Institute of Cultural Sciences, International Society of Jesuit Studies, CIDH - 2021). She has experience in the field of Modern History, focusing primarily on the following themes: history of the body, medicine, and health; history of sciences; slavery; history of food.
