Felipe Wanderley de Amorim

I have a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Uberlândia - UFU (2001-2005). I completed my Master's degree in Ecology and Conservation of Natural Resources at the same university (2006-2008), and earned a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from the State University of Campinas - Unicamp (2008-2012), with a sandwich internship period at the National University of Córdoba - UNC, Córdoba, Argentina (2011). I also conducted a Postdoctoral research in Ecology at the Federal University of ABC - UFABC (2012-2013). Since November 2013, I have been a professor at the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP, where I work in the field of Ecology at the Institute of Biosciences of Botucatu - IBB. I supervise students in the Graduate Programs in Plant Biology and Zoology at IBB - UNESP. My main research interests include natural history, evolutionary biology, and mutualisms, particularly mutualistic interactions between plants and pollinators. The research conducted by my group spans a broad scale, ranging from individual-level analyses to investigations in ecosystems, aiming to understand the underlying mechanisms of plant-animal interactions, their importance in maintaining biodiversity, and the impact of these relationships on broader ecological and evolutionary processes.
