Andre Amarante earned his Bachelors degree in Mathematics in 2010 and his Ph.D. in Physics in 2017, both from São Paulo State University (Unesp). His doctoral research was conducted under the supervision of Othon Winter and included a one-year visit to the University of Maryland, where Douglas Hamilton mentored him. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at São Paulo State University (Unesp), School of Engineering and Sciences, Guaratinguetá, Brazil. His research spans Dynamical Astronomy and Space Engineering, focusing on small bodies and the formation of exoplanetary systems. He is also an expert in numerical methods applied to Astronomy.
