Full/Senior Professor in Infectious Diseases of Animals, in the Department of Animal Production and Preventive Veterinary Medicine, School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science - FMVZ, São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho, UNESP, Botucatu, SP, Brazil, teaching classes for undergraduate and graduate students since 1984. He graduated from the same School in 1981 in Veterinary Medicine and was a resident in the discipline of Infectious Diseases of Animals between 1982 and 1983. He obtained his Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from FMVZ, UNESP, Botucatu, SP, in 1990. He obtained his Doctorate degree in 1999, from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, University of São Paulo - USP. In 2016, he published the book Infectious Diseases of Production and Companion Animals, and was one of the editors and organizers of the book published by Roca (Rio de Janeiro, 2016). He is the author of several chapters of the same book. He is also the author of chapters on Antimicrobials in Veterinary Medicine in the book Veterinary Pharmacology. He is a reviewer of Fapesp and CAPES projects. He carries out teaching, research and extension activities in the area of #8203;#8203;Preventive Veterinary Medicine in the area of #8203;#8203;Infectious Diseases of Animals with an emphasis on bovine tuberculosis, antimicrobials, antimicrobial resistance, clinical microbiology and therapeutics of production and companion animals. He develops research studies in the area of #8203;#8203;diagnostics with molecular biology by Real-Time PCR with an emphasis on Tuberculosis and SARS-CoV-2 in Animals. He has contributed to several articles on animal health and public health published in international journals. He has supervised numerous Master's dissertations and Doctoral theses that have had a positive impact on Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health and Public Health. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
