She is a Professor of the History Department and the Postgraduate Program in History at the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP/Franca. She holds a degree in History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1988), a Master's in Social History from the University of São Paulo (1995) and a PhD in Economic History from the University of São Paulo (2003). He did Post-Doctorate at the State University of Campinas (CNPq Junior Post-Doctorate Fellow from 10/2006 to 07/2007), at the University of Barcelona (FAPESP Fellow from 12/2008 to 03/2009), also at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales / Paris - FR (CNPq / PDE Fellow from 02/2011 to 07/2011), École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales / Paris - FR (Scholarship - research assistance PROPG - UNESP - 11/2012 to 01/2013), École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales / Paris - FR (CAPES Fellow Senior Internship from 09/2015 to 02/2016). She completed research internships at Oxford University (November 10 to 20, 2012) and at the Università degli Studi di Perugia (February 3 to 26, 2020). She was also a Visiting Researcher at the Università degli Studi di Perugia (January 10 to March 5, 2024). She is the coordinator of the Laboratory of Studies on the Roman Empire (G.LEIR - UNESP/Franca) and vice-coordinator of the Archaeology Laboratory of UNESP/Franca (Lab.Arque). She is a collaborating professor in the Postgraduate Program in Classical Studies at the University of Coimbra/Portugal. She has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;History, with an emphasis on Ancient History, working mainly on the following themes: History of the Roman Empire and Late Antiquity. Associate researcher at the Cátedra Libero Mundo Antiguo/Argentina. Associate researcher of the research project, Trade routes and cultural diffusion in post-classical cities (4th-8th centuries), supervised by Prof. Dr. Érica Cristhyane Morais da Silva with financial support from the Espírito Santo Research Foundation (FAPES).
