Dionizio is a Full Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineeing, faculty of Engineering, Ilha Solteira Campus - UNESP (Sao Paulo State University, Brazil), since 1989. He did his PhD in the University of Aberdeen (Scotland), in 1999, on FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) controllers. He has experience on Power Electronics and Power Systems, mainly in the following subjects: FACTS and FACDS controllers, renewable and sustainable power sources, distributed generation, power systems planning, ac and dc microsystems.
