Graduated in Nutrition from the Federal University of Paraíba/UFPB (1993), Master in Food Science and Technology from the Federal University of Paraíba/UFPB (1997) and PhD in Food and Nutrition from the State University of Campinas/UNICAMP (2003). Assistant Professor Doctor II of the Department of Human Sciences and Nutrition and Food Sciences, of the Institute of Biosciences of Botucatu/IBB, at the Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho"/UNESP. Participation in research and extension actions at INTERSSAN - Center for Science, Technology and Innovation for Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security at UNESP. Ad-hoc advisor to the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation/FAPESP and Journal Reviewer.
