Graduated in Geography from the State University of Maringá (1991), master's degree and PhD in Ecology of Continental Aquatic Environments from the State University of Maringá (1995/2002). Post-PhD at PEA/UEM/School of Environmental Sciences/University of Liverpool (2015). He is currently an Associate Professor (Free Professor) at the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Universidade Estadual Paulista-UNESP, Department of Geography. Accredited in the Postgraduate Programs in Geography (academic and professional) at FCT/UNESP and PROFÁgua/FEIS/UNESP. Researcher at CNPq, has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Geosciences/Physical Geography, with an emphasis on Geomorphology and River Dynamics, working mainly on the following topics: river geomorphology, hydrodynamics, hydrological regime, morphology and dynamics of river plains, river limnology, river sedimentology and Connectivity hydrodynamics. Participates in the Research Groups GAIA (FCT-UNESP), CEETAS (FCT-UNESP), GEMA (UEM), Rede Águas (International Water Research Network), Rede Geografia das Águas (International Network of Geographers Researching Waters). Representative of UNESP at CBH-Aguapeí e Peixe and CBH Paranapanema (ANA). Coordinator of the Geology, Geomorphology and Water Resources Laboratory at FCT/UNESP. Participates in the Brazilian Geomorphology Union and the Brazilian Association of Geographers (headquarters Presidente Prudente-SP). He is currently Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Geography - Professional Master's Degree at FCT/UNESP. Maintains exchanges with the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of Liverpool-Inlgaterra, University of Minho, Portugal and National University of San Juan, Argentina.
