Enner Alcântara holds a Bachelors degree in Sciences (2005), a Masters degree (2006), and a Ph.D. (2010) in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), and earned his Livre-Docente (Habilitation) title in Remote Sensing from São Paulo State University (Unesp) in 2019. He is a permanent professor in the Graduate Program in Natural Disasters (Unesp/Cemaden), where he supervises research in remote sensing, spatial analysis, and predictive modeling applied to extreme events.He leads the Research Group on Remote Sensing, Spatial Analysis, Environmental Modeling, and Disasters.He coordinated two international research projects in collaboration with the University of Georgia (USA) and the Plymouth Marine Laboratory (United Kingdom), and has participated in 24 research projects, serving as principal investigator in 10 of them. He has authored 146 peer-reviewed scientific articles, accumulating over 3,974 citations, an h-index of 32, and an i10-index of 87 (Google Scholar).His international collaborations include leading research institutions such as the University of Georgia (USA), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), INRSCentre Eau Terre Environnement (Canada), Leibniz-Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (Germany), Institute of Earth Sciences Academia Sinica (Taiwan), Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand), Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (France), and the University of Girona (Spain).He has supervised 16 undergraduate research projects, 8 Masters dissertations, 6 Ph.D. theses, and 5 Postdoctoral research projects. A recipient of the CNPq Research Productivity Fellowship since 2013, he also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for CNPq, FAPESP, and several international funding agencies. He is an Associate Editor for Environmental Challenges (Elsevier), GIScience and Remote Sensing (Taylor Francis), and Discover Sensors (Springer). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
