Zelia Ramozzi-Chiarottino, Emeritus Full Professor, at the Institute of Psychology of the University of São Paulo (IP-USP). Visiting professor at the Université de Lyon II (1990 and 1992); Visiting researcher at the Jean Piaget Archives in Geneva (1995). Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo (1959), Postgraduate degree (D.E.S.) in Philosophy of Science from the Université dAix-Marseille, France (19651967), supervised by Professor Gilles Gaston Granger. PhD in Science from the Institute of Psychology at USP (IP-USP) in 1970 (translated into French in 1972; part of the collection of the Jean Piaget Archives Library, Université de Genève, Switzerland). Postdoctoral studies in Linguistics at the Università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza (19861987). Achieved the title of "Livre-Docente" (Habilitation) in 1982. Appointed Full Professor at IP-USP in 1987. Served as Director of IP-USP (19881992).Founder of the first Laboratory of Genetic Epistemology in Brazil in 1968, within the Psychology Chair of the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of USP (FFCL-USP), and founding professor of IP-USP in 1970. She has published eight books, including one in France, De la théorie de Piaget à ses applications (Paidos/Centurion), and another in Switzerland, Piaget Modèle et Structure (part of the collection of the Jean Piaget Archives - Université de Genève, Switzerland, 1972), as well as numerous book chapters and articles published in Brazil, Greece, France, Switzerland, Canada, and Portugal. She has participated in numerous conferences in these countries with her graduate students (FAPESP-funded), and has organized five international conferences in Brazil on Epistemology and Psychology.Leader of the CNPq Research Group: Philosophy of Science and Psychology (20002020). Supervised 69 Master's and Doctoral theses, supported by 69 research projects from her Laboratory of Genetic Epistemology and Psychosocial Rehabilitation, which focuses on the philosophy of biology with emphasis on the theory of epigenetic ontogenesis.She is currently supervising two doctoral theses, one of which is in partnership with anthropologist Prof. A. Boyette from the Max Planck Institute for Research in Leipzig, Germany. The research explores the contribution of Jean Piagets theory to the explanation of the socio-cultural ontogenesis of indigenous people from the Sierra Maestra region in Colombia. She is co-author of the presentation of this work to be given in Belgrade (May 30, 2025) by her doctoral student Juan Sebastien Zapata (CNPq fellow), at an event organized by the Piaget Society, U.S.A.
