País de origem: Brasil

He received his Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics in 1989, his Master's degree in Physics in 1992, and his Doctorate in Sciences in 1995, all from the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics (IFGW) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). From 1996 to 1997, he was a visiting professor in the Department of Telematics (DT) at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEEC) at UNICAMP. Since 2001, he has been a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUC-Campinas). From 2003 to 2006, he was a researcher in the Information Technology Program for the Development of Advanced Internet (TIDIA) and in the KyaTera Project (FAPESP 2003/08320-2). He was a researcher of the National Institute of Science and Technology (INCT) for Optical Communications FOTONICOM (CNPq 574017/2008-9 and FAPESP 08/57857-2) from 2009 to 2017. In the period 2014-2015, he was head of the Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering at PUC-Campinas. His professional experience encompasses both theoretical and experimental methods in semiconductor physics (0-D, 1-D systems, solar cells, optoelectronic devices, photo- and thermo-acoustic spectroscopy, and systems for impurity diffusion in semiconductors, among others). His research interests include the application of nonlinear optics to integrated photonic devices and optical signal processing. He has been a reviewer for IEEE and Optica journals and a member of the IEEE Photonics Society. (Fonte: Currículo Lattes)
