Erick Mauricio Goes Cordeiro

I hold a B.S. degree in Agronomic Engineering and an M.S. in Entomology from the University Federal of Vicosa (UFV), along with a Ph.D. in Entomology from Kansas State University (K-State). My areas of interest include ecology, genomics, population genetics, and the management of insect pests. I have experience in the population genetics of significant insect pests affecting soybean, cotton, and corn, such as Euschistus heros, Dichelops melacanthus, Helicoverpa sp., Chrysodeixis includens, and Spodoptera frugiperda.My work has involved investigating demographic patterns and adaptive processes in agricultural landscapes, with a focus on host adaptation and pesticide resistance. I have contributed to the development of Integrated Resistance Management (IRM) and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies using synthetic pheromones and have led the Brazilian Field Development at PROVIVI. Currently, I am the Entomology Testing Manager at Monsanto do Brasil Ltda. (Grupo Econômico Bayer S.A.), where I engage in efforts to enhance sustainable practices in crop protection.
