Jhonathan Rosa de Souza

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Uberlândia and PhD in Science and Technology/Chemistry from the Federal University of ABC. Specialist in density functional methods and theories of electronic structure of atoms and molecules. Works mainly in the areas of computational photochemistry with the application of density functional methodologies as well as wave function methods for the evaluation of the electronic structure and optical and spectroscopic properties of photosensitizing chromophores. Has experience in the application of molecular dynamics for the simulation of the interaction and behavior of photosensitizers in phospholipid bilayers. Works as an author of scientific dissemination texts in the extension project Guia dos Entusiastas da Ciências. Currently, holds a position at the Institute of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry of the University of Barcelona as a researcher, where he investigates the use of quantum computers in chemical simulations.
