Pamela Magalí Bermejo

I am a biotechnologist and molecular biologist graduated from the National University of La Plata, Argentina (2014). In 2022, I received my PhD degree in Bioenergy from the University of Campinas, which included a six-month research internship at the Westerdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute, The Netherlands. During 2021-2022, I worked as a researcher for BIOinFOOD, a startup specialized in the development of customized yeasts, where I conducted a project on yeast-based biosensors for low-cost diagnosis of COVID-19. Currently, I work as a research scientist at Braskem. My main expertise includes strain development for different applications and yeast fermentation at lab scale. I have deep knowledge in molecular biology techniques (including CRISPR), microbiology, fermentation, and yeast metabolism.
