País de origem: Venezuela

https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3053-5722 She earned her degree in Chemistry from the University of Los Andes, Mérida, Venezuela (2015), where she completed a research project titled "Study of the Electrocatalytic Activity of Cobalt (II) Meso-Tetra(p-sulfonatophenyl) Porphyrin in the Reduction of Carbon Dioxide". In 2017, she moved to Natal, Brazil, and obtained her PhD in Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2021), under the supervision of Prof. Carlos Alberto Martínez-Huitle, with support from a CAPES scholarship (process number 88882.375177/2019-01). Her doctoral research focused on the application of electrochemical technologies for treating both synthetic and real effluents at a pre-pilot plant scale, using active and non-active anodes. During her PhD, she also participated in a sandwich doctoral program as a visiting researcher in the group of Prof. Manuel Andrés Rodrigo at the Laboratory of Electrochemical and Environmental Engineering in Ciudad Real, Spain. This co-tutored stay (2019/2020), supported by the PRINT Program (process number 88887.363246/2019-00), led to a second PhD in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (2021). While abroad, her work focused on developing and evaluating electrochemically assisted absorption systems for the removal of volatile organic compounds from gaseous streams. In 2022, she received the Prêmio CAPES de Tese in recognition of her outstanding doctoral research. From December 2021 to May 2023, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA, São Carlos), where she contributed to the universal project titled "Sustainable Route for Methane Conversion Using Advanced Electrochemical Technologies", funded by CNEN. Since October 2023, she has held a postdoctoral research position at the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos, University of São Paulo (IQSC/USP), funded by a FAPESP scholarship (grant number 2023/05895-8). Her current research, supervised by Prof. Marcos Roberto de Vasconcelos Lanza, is titled "Development and Application of Lanthanum- and Cerium-Modified Gas Diffusion Electrodes in the Electrochemical/Fenton-like Treatment of Benzotriazole". She is also currently undertaking a visiting research stay in Prof. Manuel Andrés Rodrigos group at the Laboratory of Electrochemical and Environmental Engineering in University of Castilla-La Mancha, Ciudad Real, Spain. This stay is supported by the BEPE (Bolsa Estágio de Pesquisa no Exterior) Program (grant number 2024/06300-0) funded by a FAPESP. The ongoing project is titled "Sustainable Production of Toluene Derivatives Using Electrochemical Cells Equipped with Gas Diffusion Cathodes Assisted by an Absorption Column." Expertise and Skills: Electrochemistry Environmental, Chemistry, Treatment of Effluents and Gas Streams, Electro-Absorption, Electrochemical Engineering, Water and Wastewater Treatment, Boron-Doped Diamond (BDD) Electrode.
