I hold an MPhil in Biochemistry with a focus on human population genetics from Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM), Pakistan (2019), and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Fortaleza, Brazil (2023). My doctoral research combined human and plant transcriptomics to identify functional marker genes associated with cellular resilience and stress-induced cell reprogramming. After completing the Ph.D., I served as a CNPq-funded postdoc fellow/external professor at UFC (April 2023 to March 2025), investigating the regulatory roles of intergenic regions in host gene expression. Currently, I am a FAPESP postdoctoral fellow at CEPID Redoxoma, Department of Biochemistry, Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo, where my research focuses on understanding how carbon dioxide modulates cellular physiology and pathology, particularly in clinical conditions. I have been exploring omics data to identify key genes/mechanisms regulating cell cycle progression, ROS/RNS balance, and stress adaptation, aiming to investigate the mechanisms governing cellular stress responses and highlight pathways and genes with potential biotechnological and therapeutic applications.
