Since 2013 Postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of Prof. Dr. N.H. Dekker at the Department of Bionanoscience at the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience, integrated at the Delft University of Technology. Single-molecule studies on RNA-Polymerase and the influence of different transcription factors with Magnetic Tweezers. Also involved in the development of DNA-curtains and birefringent TiO2-particles for Optical Tweezers to apply single-molecule torque studies. 2010-2013 Postdoctoral fellowship at the Laboratory of Nano and Biosystems (LNB), Department of Applied Physics administrated by Prof. Dr. M.A. Cotta. Independent development and administration of multidisciplinary projects in molecular biology, bacterial pathogens, biophotonics, genetics and nanomaterial research. Main projects: i) Biophysical studies of bacterial adhesion proteins on single molecule level, ii) Phytopathogen biofilm formation studies, iii) Characterization of semiconductor nanowires, iv) Fluorescence microscopy and AFM methods for biophysical studies, v) Transfection studies for gene delivery and gene therapy, vi) Multiplex III-V semiconductor nanowire and Surface Acoustic Wave biosensor development. 2004-2009 Biomolecular nanotechnology based PhD thesis at the Institute of Molecular Physical Chemistry, supervised by Prof. Dr. F. Oesterhelt and Prof. Dr. C.A.M. Seidel, supported by the national BMBF Nanotechnology foundation fellowship. Development of combined AFM-fluorescence techniques and chemical surface functionalization methods for manipulation on single-molecule level of biomolecules and colloidal nanoparticles. Project included new instrumentation design developments and specific control and analysis software development for optical controlled biomolecular nanoassembly, protein unfolding studies and biomolecular interaction experiments. Grade: A, Magna Cum Laude 2003 - German diploma (combined BSc & MSc degree) study of Biology. Major specialization subjects: Physical biology, Neurophysiology, metabolic physiology and informatics. One-year laboratory thesis was performed at the Institute of Physical Biology (Prof. Dr. D. Riesner, Quiagen) in cooperation with the Science Research Centre of Jülich, Germany (Prof. Dr. D. Willbold). Thesis of host protein binding structure motif of a phytopathogen RNA-viroid included beside molecular & physical biology methods thermodynamic RNA design in silico and investigation via homonuclear NMR spectroscopy. Grade: A- (Fonte: Currículo Lattes)
