Izabel Fernandez Monteiro

Izabel received her PhD in Physiology from the University of Barcelona - SPAIN and since 2005 have been working at two recognized research centres in Barcelona, known as "Institut d'Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer" (IDIBAPS) and "Institut d'Investigacions Biomèdiques de Barcelona" (IIBB-CSIC). Has experience with Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, focusing on inflammation and regeneration mechanisms, related to Liver Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury. Currently, she is International Projects Manager at Leitat Technological Center (Barcelona), and responsible for the execution and implementation of projects in the field of Health funded by European Commission.
