Resumo

Using several biosensors to form an array permits to increase the reliability of sensor systems, the parameters measured with additional variables and decreases the time needed to make distinct measurements. An array of several sensors, in this way, offer better functionality than is common with traditional arrangements. Our system, the multimodal array of enzymatic biosensors, is a device built using different enzymatic sensing stages for the simultaneous detection of glucose, urea and solution's pH adapted to environmental changes using a reference film. The transduction stage is based on potentiometric chemical sensors with high input impedance, the extended-gate field-effect-transistor. The system was controlled by the microcontroller PIC 16F628A, and the multiplexer used was the CD4052B. We used three thin films based on polyaniline, two of them using enzymes to detect the desired analytes, glucose-oxidase and urease. The system showed good response to the variation in solution's pH (from 5.9 to 7.6) and to the presence of the reference film. The sensor showed to be useful to make the simultaneous detection of several analytes. (AU)
