Resumo
We have been exploring a particular way in which the Web can be used in support of education. We are interested in developing automated techniques to capture the rich details of live experiences and make the record of those experiences available in the Web. In the INCA-SERVE project, we have demonstrated the ability to capture live classroom experiences and make them available for review via a variety of documents automatically created while the instructor interacts with a ubiquitous computing environment. We also experimented linking documents automatically, as well as exploited distributed collaboration before and after the lectures. We understand that the participation of our group in the FAPESP TIDIA e-learning Project is most appropriate since many of the results of our efforts so far can contribute to the objectives of the project. Our work, that has been funded in the form of equipment and grants by FAPESP, CNPq, CAPES and USP, can contribute in terms of both running prototypes - that can be extended as needed - and the practical and theoretical knowledge acquired by the group.
