Resumo

During the visit to IME-USP, o Prof. José Alfredo López-Mimbela will work with Prof. N. Kolev (MAE), with a participation of the professors P. A. Morettin, F. Machado, V. Belitsky, A. Simonis (MAE), Profa. D. Paiva (USP-Leste), with the PhD students F. Henn, M. Fernandez, M. Gonçalves, N. El Dash and other interested. The research on random sums is fundamental in theoretic and applied aspect. We intend to use two techniques: the analytic one, by applying the method of moment generating functions (to obtain representation of arbitrary random vector and as a consequence - to characterize important classes of dependent random vectors as well to get new relations for dependence measures commoly used in statiscal and econometry analysis). The stochastic approach will be used to investigate aspects of occupation measures and expected recovery costs of risk processes, such as diffusion approximations and large-time occupation time fluctuations.
