She holds a Bachelor's degree in Natural History (Biology) from the University of São Paulo (USP) (1961), Graduate Degree: Natural History from USP (1961), Specialist in Human and Medical Genetics from USP (1962), Master degree from USP ( 1962), PhD in Human Genetic from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) (1972), Professor from the State University of São Paulo (UNESP), 1978 and Full Professor of Human and Medical Genetics from UNESP (1987). Volunteer Prof. of Genetic Department, UNESP (1997-2001), Coordinator and organizer of the Pos -Graduate course in Genetics of UNESP-Botucatu (1978), Professor of Graduate course UNESP, USP and Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP) since 1978 to 2009. Scientific Advisor of the UNESP Research Foundation , and State University at Londrina Paraná State (UEL), Medical School at São José do Rio Preto (MSSJRP) (1972-2009). Scientific Advisor of the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP from 1990 to 2015), Founder and Scientific Director - "CITOGEM BIOTECNOLOGIA"1992. Member of the Editorial Board of the State University of Maringá, Member of the Foundation's Research sector of Paraná and External Committee member of the Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). Has experience in the area of Human and Medical Genetics and molecular cytogenetics working mainly on the following topics: genetic counselling, Gastroesophageal reflux disease and neoplastic diseases, Mutagenesis, Comet Assay, DNA damage, Molecular , FISH and Micronucleus,. Member of National and International Scientific Societies (SBPC, SBG, SBMTA, SBGM, ASHG). She participated in many National and International congresses of Human and Medical Genetics with the presentation of lectures and scientific papers. Worked in International Human Genetics Centers in the United States (TEXAS - MD Anderson, HAWAII- Children Hospital) for 2 years and 4 months in JAPAN. Guided works Science Initiation Dissertations, Doctoral Theses and Pos Doctoral Research Was responsible Researcher of projects financed by FAPESP, CNPq, and CAPES.
