Lucas Henrique Caetano Carmona dos Santos

Lucas is a physiotherapist with a Masters degree in Health Sciences (Phty). He currently works as a physiotherapist at São Camilo Hospital and serves as a supervisor for physiotherapy internships at the Universidade Cidade de São Paulo. During his masters studies, Lucas was awarded a scholarship by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), focusing his research on clinical factors that influence postural control mechanisms, balance, gait, and the prevalence and incidence of falls in individuals with Parkinsons disease. As part of his academic training, he also completed a three-month international research internship (September to November) at Neuroscience Research Australia in Sydney. Lucas is a senior collaborator with the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) initiative, a research associate for the Which Systematic Evidence Synthesis is Best (WISEST) project, and a citizen scientist with the Cochrane Collaboration. He also volunteers for the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) and the McMaster Online Rating of Evidence (MORE) Rehab.
