Resumo

This work aims at analyzing if the connection of a battery system would have a positive impact, maintaining the voltage and frequency inside the limits regulated by the standard PN-IEC-60092-101. On our analysis the generator operation is chosen to follow the load mean and its variations are absorbed or fed by the battery systems. By doing that, we reduce the variations that the generator would have to deal with changing its point of operation when no battery is used. We test two approaches to calculate the load mean, in the first one a washout filter calculates the mean of the load power based on its high frequency signal, the second approach is based on a variable mean that calculates a mean of the load power every five seconds. We compare the voltage and frequency levels and we calculate the diesel consumption, CO2 and NOx emissions for both approaches with a base case without battery. The best results for frequency, voltage are achieved with the Washout filter. (AU)
