Resumo

The magnetic phases diagram of antiferromagnetic Cr alloys is very rich with many magnetic phases that are associated to an itinerant antiferromagnetism due to spin-density waves state. In this work we present a systematic study around spin-flip transition of CrNb alloys, in the compositional range represented by CrxNb1- x with 0 <= x at% <= 3.5. This study revealed a remarkable agreement between the predicted values for T-N/T-SF by Varelogiannis model [3] and our experimental results, supporting the applicability of this model to itinerant antiferromagnetic SDW systems in general and Cr alloys in particular.
