Resumo

The 18th International Heat Transfer Conference (IHTC-18) is scheduled to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from August 2 to 7, 2026. This conference is the premier global forum for researchers, engineers, and scientists to exchange groundbreaking findings in thermal sciences. The IHTC-18 aims to foster international cooperation and provide a platform for discussing the latest advancements in heat and mass transfer. Given the global urgency for sustainable development, the 18th edition emphasizes the role of thermal engineering in addressing climate change, energy efficiency, and environmental protection. The conference covers a vast range of topics, from fundamental research to cutting-edge industrial applications, including: Emerging Technologies: AI and Machine Learning in thermal sciences, micro/nano-scale transport, and bio-heat transfer, Energy Systems: Renewable energy, energy storage, and hydrogen technologies. Classical Fundamentals: Multiphase flow, combustion, radiation, and conduction. Industrial Sectors: Aerospace, automotive, electronics cooling, and manufacturing. The event features a rigorous peer-review process, ensuring the presentation of over 600 high-quality original papers. The program includes: Keynote & Plenary Lectures: Featuring the prestigious Fourier Lecture and insights from world-leading experts, Interactive Sessions: A mix of poster presentations and "2-minute" rapid oral presentations designed to maximize discussion, and Networking: Formal receptions, including a Welcome Cocktail and a Gala Dinner, to facilitate collaboration between academia and industry. The conference is organized under the auspices of the Assembly for International Heat Transfer Conferences (AIHTC) and the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering (ABCM). All accepted papers will be published in the IHTC Digital Library. (AU)
