Resumo

We plan to participate in all of the phases of the FAPESP Structural Genomics Program, from cloning and expression to large-scale protein expression, purification and isotopic labelling. Though we do not have extensive experience in protein structure determination, we are very interested in obtaining these capabilities through collaboration with the structural biologists involved. We have several suggestions for proteins to be crystallized including i) the troponin complex, ii) tropomyosin, iii) Xanthomonas citri proteins of interest identified during the sequence of its genome and iv) tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase mutants designed to incorporate tryptophan analogs into recombinant proteins.
