Resumo

A proposta engloba dois subprojetos. O Subprojeto 1: "Propriedades estruturais de teias bipartidas de plantas e herbívoros" (T. Lewinsohn e Adriana Almeida, Pós-Doutorado 01/08619-2), visa compilar um conjunto abrangente de matrizes de interação planta-herbívoro em comunidades locais a partir de nossos estudos, da literatura e de dados fornecidos por outros pesquisadores. Este conjunto será usado para análises estruturais destas matrizes (dimensões, conectância, distribuição de ligações, aninhamento e compartimentação). O Subprojeto 2 - "Efeito da degradação de habitat sobre padrões comunitários e propriedades de redes tróficas entre plantas e insetos fitófagos" (Mário Almeida Neto, Doutorado 03/02548-1), propõe investigar o Asteráceas e insetos endófagos de seus capítulos, em diferentes remanescentes de cerrados de São Paulo, para avaliar os efeitos da degradação sobre a diversidade e a composição de espécies de plantas e insetos; a estruturação das associações entre estas espécies; e a fragilidade das redes de interações insetos-plantas perante perdas de espécies.
