Themes / TopicsThe Dialogue events of DWIH-SP consider multi-, inter- and transdisciplinary approaches with main focus on scientific research, searching interfaces with business, society and public administration in order to promote knowledge exchange and transfer.The Bioeconomy comprises those parts of the economy that use renewable biological resources from land and sea - such as crops, forests, fish, animals and micro-organisms - to produce food, feed, materials, energy and other consumer goods.The gradual conversion of current industrial production to an increased use of renewable resources with focus on a bio-based economy will require abundant raw materials. Especially the areas of agriculture, forestry, chemistry, mechanical engineering, construction, automotive, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, textiles and consumer goods will benefit from the bio-based economy.
