Resumo

The topic of the conference is the nature of rational agency, both practical and epistemic, and related issues in philosophy of mind, epistemology, and metaethics. The aim is to bring together the leading international scholars working on these issues. All invitees are among the leading scholars in their field. In particular: Prof. Michael Bratman (Stanford University), Prof. Pamela Hieronymi (UCLA), Prof. Sergio Tenenbaum (University of Toronto), and Prof. Matthew Boyle (University of Chicago). In addition, 10 further scholars will take part. All of these scholars have made major contributions to the issues central to our conference and their work is widely known among philosophers with an interest in rational agency. All contributions of the conference will be published in a special issue of MANUSCRITO. (AU)
