Resumo

Scientific drilling projects produce large amounts of data, starting with the data from the drilling operations in the field until the data generated with the analyses of the subsamples collected from the drill cores. Given the collaborative nature of theses projects, collecting, managing and sharing these data is a key part of the repository activity. For that, we need to build a solid database which can be used to gather the field, storage and analytical data into the same system, which can be easily accessed by all the potential users. This TT5 will develop the database, insert the data of legacy collections and devise a training program for the users.This TT5-1 scholarship is meant to conceive and develop the SPCoRe database system, feed the database with the metadata for the legacy collection and prepare the digital environment for further inputs for the new collections. The SPCoRe database will be based on the existing database of the International Continental Drilling Program (www.scientificdrilling. org), which was developed by the ICDP and the GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam (GFZ). The database includes data from the drilling operations, data from the drilling cores, data from non-destructive essays performed on the cores (including images and petrophysics), data from the samples collected from the cores.
