Resumo

The objectives of this work is to follow the infection process of an insect by both a non-pathogenic and an entomopathogenic fungus, and to detect possible immune reactions (humoral and cellular) of the insect. Protoplasts produced in vitro as well as fungi with intact cell walls will be used. The possible detection of an antifungal protein is especially demanding since there are few reports in the literature about this subject the aim is biological control of insect vectors by entomopathogenic fungi.
