Leticia Maria Zanphorlin

Graduated in Physics (UNESP), with an M.Sc. in Molecular Biophysics (UNESP) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (UNICAMP). Since 2019, she has been a group leader at the National Biorenewables Laboratory (LNBR), part of CNPEM. She is also a collaborating researcher at UNICAMP, where she is affiliated with two graduate programs. She has spearheaded the implementation and consolidation of a new research front at LNBR focused on valorizing agro-industrial residues for the sustainable synthesis of advanced fuels (SAF and green diesel), green chemicals, and vitamins using redox enzymes and multi-enzyme cascades. Within this context, she has contributed to securing more than R$25 million in competitive and industrial funding through partnerships with private companies, Embrapii, and ANP. Her scientific contributions include publications in high-impact journals such as JBC, PNAS, and Nature Communications, as well as patents filed in Brazil, PCT, the USA, the EU, and China. She maintains active international collaborations with leading institutions, including King's College London, Imperial College London, NC State University, TUM, and TU Delft. She has extensive experience in macromolecular chemistry, biochemistry, structural biology, enzymology, protein biophysics, protein physical chemistry, and protein thermodynamics.
