Brazilian and Italian citizen who has been working in the data universe since 2014 in different roles, including researcher, tech consultant, data scientist, and data engineer, gathering extensive academic and professional experience. Currently, I contribute as a Data Scientist and Data Engineer Specialist at Bayer in São Paulo, Brazil, where I lead initiatives in data pipeline automation, artificial intelligence, and data management. I bring innovative solutions to enhance data analytics, visualization and modelling within the company. My academic journey began at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), where I graduated as Chemical Engineer. Driven by a passion for continuous learning, I pursued an MSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (in the field of Mechatronics), also at UNICAMP. My master's research centered on developing microfermentors monitored by optical fiber sensors. Finally, I also completed the Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in the field of Mechatronics (UNICAMP). During my Ph.D., I employed advanced techniques for sensing and data collection, including the use of deep learning and statistical algorithms. My Research and Development contributions span different fields, including carbon nanomaterials, biomedicine, and optical sensors, leading to several patents and publications in reputable scientific journals. In addition to my role at Bayer, I am a dedicated educator. I serve as a professor in the Big Data and Machine Learning Specialization at Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL), where I teach courses on Exploratory Data Analysis, Deep Learning and Big Data with PySpark. My commitment to education extends to my position as the coordinator of the Data Science MBA program at FM2S Consulting Education, where I mentor and guide aspiring data scientists. My professional journey includes consultancy experience, having worked at Ernst Young (EY) with several software and platforms. I supported financial advisory, audit services, and environmental consultancy, providing advanced analytics, data integration, and data visualization. The projects involved accounting reconciliation, carve-outs, mergers and acquisitions, and the creation of environmental reports. My clients included firms from sectors such as petrochemical, telecommunications, cosmetics, IT infrastructure, and cabotage. The work involved the creation of interfaces in VBA, Power BI, and Power Apps, as well as the use of Python, Alteryx, Knime, and Blueprism. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to advancing the field of data science and engineering. My diverse background, extensive experience, and dedication to education make me a valuable asset to Bayer and to the broader scientific community.
