Mark Ewusi Shiburah

Mark Ewusi Shiburah, is a Research Scientist at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-Animal Research Institute in Ghana, specializing in genome editing and gene function studies with a focus on infectious disease and vaccine research. He received his PhD in Genetics from the Sao Paulo State University in 2024 following a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Biotechnology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (2017). He previously served and worked with the Molecular Biology Laboratory of the CSIR-Animal Research Institute as a Technical Officer and currently serves at the rank of a Research Scientist. Has experience in Genetics, focusing on Molecular Genetics and Microorganisms. As a dedicated early-career researcher, he is committed to advancing knowledge and expertise in molecular biology, genetic technologies, and vaccinology to contribute significantly to scientific innovation, particularly in addressing the health challenges faced by his community and continent. Mark has received formal training from the International Vaccine Institute on mRNA vaccine manufacturing, KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Training Programme and the URU Research Group- Gene Collaborative (Fonte: Currículo Lattes)
