Yakubu Shedrach

Shedrach Yakubu was born in Takum City in Taraba state, Nigeria. Yakubu obtained his first school leaving certificate in Christ Foundation Academy Takum and then proceeded to Rev. J. Wamada Memorial Secondary School Takum and obtained a NECO certificate. He holds a National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology from Federal Polytechnic Bali with a distinction grade. Yakubu furthered his academic pursuit and obtained a BSc. degree in industrial chemistry at Federal University Wukari where he graduated as the best student of the year, receiving the Chancellor and pro-chancellors award. He is currently, a Doctoral student at the Federal University of Sao Paulo, Brazil with research interest focused on the synthesis and Bridgman growth of multiferroic single crystal and their characterization for piezoelectric, and piezophotonic applications. Yakubu also finds interest in the synthesis of ferroelectric materials as well as hybrid perovskites and investigating them for potential photovoltaic applications (Fonte: Currículo Lattes)
