Resumo

O objetivo deste trabalho é investigar a composição da microbiota de canais radiculares infectados e de canais com insucesso do tratamento endodôntico. As amostras microbiológicas serão coletadas de 50 canais radiculares usando pontas de papel estéreis. Serão utilizados meios de transporte, cultura e incubação que propiciam o crescimento de bactérias anaeróbias estritas. Colônias microbianas serão isoladas, caracterizadas e identificadas por métodos padronizados. Espécies dos gêneros Candida, Enterococcus, Streptococcus, Actinomyces, Peptostreptococcus, Prevotella, Porphyromonas serão testadas quanto à suscetibilidade antimicrobiana através do método do E-test e do sistema ATB.
