Infection by gastrointestinal nematodes is a significant health issue in sheep production. Haemonchus contortus is a highly harmful blood-feeding parasite that affects small ruminants, causing anemia, weight loss, and, in severe cases, can lead to the death of the animals. Traditional methods for monitoring anemia in sheep, such as regular vet checkups and lab tests, can be costly and time-consuming. In this work, we propose a new system to monitor anemia using a web-based app called SheepEye. This app is a promising new tool that can help farmers detect anemia in their sheep more easily and accurately. By using the app, farmers can identify anemia early and treat only the affected animals. This targeted treatment helps reduce the use of deworming drugs and lowers the risk of parasites becoming resistant. (AU) | |
