Resumo

A fundamental knowledge of polymer- nanoparticle interactions, and their impact on polymer dynamics, is essential for successfully achieving the desired characteristics of polymer nanocomposites. Within that scope, broadband dielectric spectroscopy (BDS) was used as a tool to investigate the effect of different 2D materials, i.e., graphene oxide (GO), hexagonal-boron nitride (h-BN), and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) on the molecular dynamics of polyamide 10.10 (PA 1010) nanocomposites at extremely low contents. It was verified that the 2D materials increase the activation energy (Ea) of the a process in PA 1010, which indicates that the molecular dynamics are restricted by the two-dimensional structure of such particles. This is further evidenced by changes in the shape of the dielectric loss curve during interfacial polarization, which was enhanced for the nanocomposites. (AU)
