Resumo

The 1st Workshop in Mechanisms of Microbiota-host interaction will cover key aspects involved in theis interaction including immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, computational biology and nutrition. The event will feature 8 international and 12 national (mostly from São Paulo State) speakers that reflect world-leading expertise in specific aspects of host-microbiota interactions and a total of ~ 50 participants including researchers, graduate and undergraduate students. This event will provide a unique opportunity to discuss the latest trends and breakthroughs in microbiota-host interaction and the idea is to provide a platform for new collaborations in this field. We have obtained confirmation in principle to participate in this meeting from several international speakers that are world-leading in their field. Therefore, this meeting represents a unique opportunity to showcase the state-of-the-art of the field in Brazil. These speakers include Naiara Beraza (chromatin remodelling and gut-liver axis, gnotobiotic mice, UK), Teresa Alenghat (chromatin remodelling and inflammatory bowel disease, USA), Noah W. Palm (Microbiota-derived metabolites, USA), Falk Hildebrand (microbiome analysis - microbiomics, UK), Michael Zimmermann (germ-free mice. metabolomics, drug metabolism, EMBL, Germany), Maria Zimmermann (multi-omics integration and artificial intelligence strategies in microbiome analysis, EMBL, Germany), Eric Martens (host-microbiota interactions, USA) and Tiziana Bonaldi (proteomics, Italy). Given the superb quality of these speakers, this meeting represents a unique opportunity to showcase the filed of host-microbiota interactions in Brazil. (AU)
