Resumo

The emergence of new illicit drugs, like N-benzyl-substituted phenethylamines (NBOMes), for recreational purposes has prompted researchers to develop fast and sensitive methods for their detection in seized samples, especially in blotters. Conducting the chemical characterization of new substances entering the drug abuse market is also essential, and obtaining their electrochemical profile is desirable. Here, we have analyzed 25H-NBOMe by Square Wave Voltammetry to verify whether this technique is feasible for detection of NBOMes in blotter samples. We used a methanolic solution of LiClO4 to detect the oxidative peak in a system that employed glassy carbon as the working electrode. This enabled us to analyze the target compound at 1.28.10(-6) mol L-1 with an accuracy of 96.44%. We also tested this technique to analyze 25H-NBOMe extracted from a simulated blotter. This is one of the first validated voltammetric methodologies for analysis of 25H-NBOMe in forensic laboratories. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. (AU)
