Resumo

Recentemente com o avanço e o barateamento de técnicas moleculares vários sistemas de caracteres morfológicos têm sido amplamente negligenciados na sistemática dos anuros. Apesar da utilidade de caracteres derivados da morfologia larvar ter sido amplamente demonstrada, os mesmos encabeçam a lista dos dados pouco utilizados. A superfamília Dendrobatoidea é um expoente dessa problemática. Apesar das hipóteses de relacionamentos filogenéticos de Dendrobatoidea serem bastante estáveis e robustas, pouco se conhece sobre a evolução da morfologia larvar. O presente estudo pretende descrever e abordar a evolução de diversos sistemas de caracteres morfológicos derivados dos girinos. Estima-se a construção de uma matriz composta por 130 terminais e 150-200 caracteres. A mesma será utilizada de três formas distintas: 1) mapeando essas séries de transformações sobre as topologias já existentes; 2) utilizar esses caracteres para reconstruir a filogenia dos Dendrobatoidea em uma análise de parcimônia; e 3) adicioná-la aos dados fenotípicos, cariológicos, comportamentais e moleculares disponíveis e realizar uma análise de evidência total. Espera-se colaborar para a taxonomia, identificação e compreensão da evolução dos girinos de Dendrobatoidea. (AU)
