Resumo

The state of Mato Grosso do Sul (MS) is located in the Brazilian Midwest. It encompasses 357,125 km2 and is one of the main grain producing areas in Brazil. There are three important biomes in the state: the Cerrado, the Atlantic Forest, and the Pantanal. The predominant biome is the Cerrado, with about 229,742 km2, corresponding to 65.5% of the total area of the state (Costa et al. 2003). The Atlantic Forest is present in the southeast and, according to Faxina \& Pott (2015): ``the Atlantic Forest domain in Mato Grosso do Sul was largely modified for agriculture, and the remaining natural vegetation became limited to riparian forests.{''} The Pantanal has an area of 140,000 km2, of which 35% of this territory is in Mato Grosso while 65% in northwest of MS (Bazzo et al. 2012). Due to intense human activities in the last decades, many native areas of the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul were devastated to make way for agriculture and livestock. While necessary for the country's economy, these changes threaten endemic species, including those that have not yet been described. The identification of new species contributes to conservation policies, and here we described two new species from the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul: Urgleptes monnei and U. nutrix. Additionally, Atrypanius lineatocollis (Bates, 1863) is newly recorded for Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul. (AU)
