The agreement with the Inter-American Development Bank, as administrator of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), seeks to promote cooperation in the recovery and preservation of climate and biodiversity services in the Southeast Atlantic Forest Corridor. The Federative Republic of Brazil also participates, through the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation; the state of Sao Paulo; the Foundation for the Conservation and Forest Production of the State of São Paulo (Forest Foundation); the State of Rio de Janeiro, through the Secretary of State for the Environment of Rio de Janeiro (SEA) and the Secretary of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of Rio de Janeiro (SEAPEC); the State Institute of the Environment of the State of Rio de Janeiro (INEA); the State of Minas Gerais, through the Secretary of Science, Technology and Higher Education (SECTES) and the Secretary of State for Environment and Sustainable Development (SEMAD); the International Centre for Water Education, Training and Applied Research (UNESCO-HIDROEX) of the State of Minas Gerais; the State Forestry Institute (IEF) of the State of Minas Gerais; and the Foundation for Scientific and Technological Enterprises (FINATEC).
