Improvement of the collective research infrastructure of the School of Applied Sciences

Abstract

The School of Applied Sciences (FCA) of UNICAMP is organized in Centers and Laboratories. Currently, their members are divided into 43 Laboratories and 8 Research Centers. Thus, FCA professors, most with a postdoctoral degree and academic experience abroad, are stimulated by interdisciplinarity and constant academic improvement, which reflects in the amount and quality of projects and papers, management and planning of changes, and innovations for the public and private sectors. In this context, the Institutional Technical Reserve (RTI) of FAPESP has contributed substantially to the progress of research and advances in knowledge, as well as to the establishment of research groups that can only thrive with resources coming from development agencies. Considering the characteristics of this resource, which has as main objective the improvement of the collective research infrastructure. The present Application Plan is result of an analysis carried out by researchers who generated the RTI resources for FCA, within a perspective of use in a network that contemplates the largest possible number of researchers.
