Abstract

The aim of this visit is to build on previous collaborative work between us and set the path for future work. Regarding our joint work, there are a number of strands that we need to continue to work on, while at the same time starting out on new avenues of associated work. The Regression Models School will provide the opportunity to present some of this joint work as a short course. The primary objective of this visit will be to make further progress on our monograph Overdispersion: Models and Estimation; which will be published by Chapman & Hall/MRC. A further period of intense collaborative work is necessary to move this project forward. At the same time as working on this, we hope that we could generate some spin-off working papers for particular aspects of under- overdispersion modeling in agriculture that have not been covered in our previous collaborative work which will lead to future conference presentations and published articles. As well as attempting to tie up a number of previous areas of work, we also intend to identify additional aspects for further collaborative research. (AU)
