Abstract

The main activity of OLib is to offer the preparation and characterization of pharmaceutical standards on demand, according to the needs of the customer. Therefore, OLib works with an intense and constant area of Research and Development (R & D), which may eventually lead to the development of new technologies. The importance of the service offered by OLib is based on the regulation established by ANVISA that requires the qualification and quantification of eventual drug degradation products before any commercialization (cf. RDC 53). This means that every company that intends to market a drug in Brazil will need at some point to request the service that OLib can offer. A second focus of OLib is to provide short-courses dedicated to the study of drug degradation, in order to qualify professionals in the pharmaceutical sector. (AU)
