Abstract
This document details the utilisation plan for the RTI 2018 resources to improve the Mechanical Engineering Faculty's (FEM Unicamp) infrastructure, specifically supporting the collective research infrastructure and benefiting our research projects. (1) The Biofuel Engine Laboratory (LMB) is used by researcher from three FEM departments and operates in two areas: computational simulation of biofuel engines' processes and performance (in full operation) and floor space for a dynamometric bench to test internal combustion engines of up to 130 kW (this request's goal). This phase's main task is to hire assembling services to set up peripheral systems in a dynamometric bench so that it can operate and perform basic tests with internal combustion engines: torque measure, rotation, fuel consumption, air consumption, interest temperatures, pressure at admission and discharge collectors and instant cylinder pressure. (2) The switches that currently support FEM's backbone and from which all sub-networks derive, are more than 10 years old and offer 1 Gb (one gigabit) connexion interface, which amounts to a tenth of Unicamp's current main network (backbone) speed. Moreover, one of these equipments crashed and had to be replaced by an inferior technology one, further compromising quality and data transmission speed between FEM's local network and Unicamp's network. (3) FEM needs items to repair IT equipment used by all Faculty, such as hard disks, SSD, power supply, toner, keyboard, mouse etc. (AU)
