Abstract

Considering that investigating childhood participation in society means rethinking the practices and discourses that affect the children and understanding the social dynamics that recognize them as social actors, the aim of this research is to verify the presence of studies about participation / protagonism in Brazilian and Latin American academic production. In this sense, it will find, identify, examine and analyse the bibliographic production to deepen the theoretical-empirical discussion, to recognize authors who discuss this theme, and to seek the influence of the academic production analysed in the public policies and daily life of children, consolidating, at the same time, the field of sociology of childhood.Key words: participation, protagonism, academic production (AU)
